Live the Experience of Sustainable Livestock Farming
- Get to know our cattle (Fleckbieh and Belgian Blue) and cattle with Pelibuey Canarian sheep, animals raised in a sustainable and non-intensive way. You can feed the animals!!
- Discover how livestock waste (manure) is reincorporated into our agricultural processes, closing the nutrient cycle and minimizing the environmental impact.
- You can find free and wild peacocks throughout the estate, don’t leave without taking a photo with them.
Get to know our composting plant
- Learn about the composting process and how we transform organic waste into a valuable resource for agriculture. You will be able to see the different machines in operation and the incoming and outgoing flow of trucks with waste and finished product. Also learn in detail how related companies in the Canary Islands manage their waste with us.
- Different products are obtained and marketed from waste management: GiroAmbiental® compost, compost tea, compost base, mulch, wood chips, manure, substrates, brewer’s bagasse, among others.
- Discover how composting is a fundamental part of the circular economy, helping us reduce our carbon footprint by converting waste into resources that revitalize our soils, those of other farms, hotels and gardens in our municipalities.
What our customers say
We visited with students. The guide Miguel showed us the entire compost making process. The experience was great. Totally recommended.
A very interesting visit, the owner gave us a lot of knowledge. The plantation is perfectly organized. If you are curious about the stages a banana must go through to get to "your table", this place is definitely worth a visit!
It was really cool to see the whole process that a banana takes from the ground to our table. It was an informative and fun activity, a nice alternative to a day at the beach!
